If you were in Nelson for the final of the SI Cup, you may have noticed the four rather fast guys on short travel bikes doing sweeping runs - these guys have been out in NZ for the last couple of weeks filming for a new DVD travelling around with Justin Leov. The big cheese went down to Rotorua in January to hit the trails and catch up with the team.
BRAKE BURNER 08 The brake burner is a 6 hour 'super D' type race held at Coronet peak. Byron Scott and a few other 'Elite' downhillers headed down to Queenstown for the weekend to burn their brakes and their lungs.

Two of the biggest names in DH in NZ have teamed up to bring you DH Clinics. NZ's undisputed most successful mountainbiker JK (John Kirkcaldie) and nzride.com have teamed up to bring you what will be the best DH clinics. Clinics will be 3-4 hours and will cover downhill bike set-up, body positioning, cornering, drops and jumps, line choice and most importantly how to relax on yur bike and go fast.
JK's been a full time pro for a 10 years and he knows what it takes to ride fast and win. He's won 2 Norba titles and taken titles in NZ as well. At the Oceanias in Rotorua a few years back Jk won the DH, 4x and came 10th in the Pro Elite class of the cross country.
We try to keep the interview section fresh and interesting featuring resonably casual discussions with the famous, the not so famous and the completely un-kown. Riders from across New Zealand and around the world. Regular features include the on-it gromet section, a look at some of the best up and coming junior riders on the scene.
