BRAKE BURNER 08 The brake burner is a 6 hour 'super D' type race held at Coronet peak. Byron Scott and a few other 'Elite' downhillers headed down to Queenstown for the weekend to burn their brakes and their lungs.

NISSAN QASHQAI DOWNTOWN, COLOGNE Something a bit different: The Nissan Qashqai series is an urban freestyle series that drags some of the best freestyle riders around the globe, including Santa Cruz's Jamie Goldman. We've got their report from the German leg of the tour in Cologne last weekend.
AUSTRIAN NATIONAL CHAMPS There was a strong showing from the euro-kiwi contingent over the weekend at the the Austrian national champs in Schladming, site of the 4th round of the UCI World cup series in about 6 weeks.
LISBON DOWNTOWN The Lisbon Downtown downhill is a unique invitational only race held annually through the streets of Lisbon in Portugal. The Santa Cruz syndicate team dominated the weekend with Steve Peat and Nathan Rennie stomping to 1st and 2nd Place. Kiwi Justin Leov also raced but suffered a puncture.

WOODHILL SPRINTS
The Woodhill sprints is an interesting take on a semi downhill event: A series of short sprint races on 5 mainly downhill courses, the time added up over all 5 counting towards your final result. It's a good, relaxed event that Bike parks will be running quarterly, so get along and give it a go. One of the woodhill regulars who went out has sent us in a report.
