Freddy Hunziker is a good kid from Switzerland who is out in New Zealand for the summer to do some racing in one of the worlds finest DH breeding grounds. He is a fast kid and has time on his side at such a young age. Keep an eye on him this up coming national series and through 2010 on the world cup circuit. I first met Freddy H when another Freddy bought him over to ride the pump track in the backyard on a hot spring day here in Christchurch. He was a quiet kid and he didn't seem to speak much, especially our style of English. This was a month or so ago. He recently paid a visit to stay for the Gravity Canterbury series Final. After a few English lessons in Queenstown he was talking a lot more and had picked up our colourful language quite well as you will find out below...

FH Training really hard and ride better

FH It makes me crazy..... hard..... shit.

FH No but I will, I'll go on youtube

CC What team do you ride for?
FH Scott 11

CC How did you pull that?
FH Because of Nick Beer they looked for me and I know Claudio Calouri. Its good he gave me the chance.

CC What's the plan for 2010? 
FH All the IXS cups in Europe. I have a feeling on the world cups. ( I think I will do some world cups)

CC What about NZ 2010? 
FH The Nationals and some races like this one in Christchurch. 

CC Is this your first time outside europe?
FH Yes for mountain biking it is 

CC What have you learnt so far being away from home? 
FH Cooking, washing clothes and english

CC What's it been like living with Jimbo and Jordan (J Man)?
FH Not too bad but might be better if Fabian Ped comes we can train and ride 

CC How do you get your internet in Queenstown?
FH I sit in the garden by mitre 10 and get it off a house. 

CC What are your best results this year?
FH 1st U17 European Cup and 5th overall in the Wirehorn Swiss cup

FH Gypsy (Backwards)

CC What grips do you run?
FH Scott one side is like motocross
