Walkers on it.
Two time world championship medallist Sarah Walker remains unbeaten after two rounds of qualifying motos at the BMX World Championships in Adelaide this afternoon. Walker from Kawerau, won her first two motos with one remaining in the qualifying rounds indoors at the Adelaide Showgrounds. Fellow Beijing Olympian Marc Willers (Cambridge) has a tougher time after a crash in his second moo. He finished second in the opening qualifying heat and was in second going into the third straight before he was involved in a crash which relegated him to the back of the field. Willers will need a top three placing in his final heat to make it through. Fellow elite Victoria Hill (New Plymouth) has a fourth and sixth placings so far. In the junior elite ranks, Christchurch’s Kurt James has scored two second placings while Pakuranga’s Alexandra Williams has managed two third places. There is one more round of qualifying motos ahead of the eighth finals, quarter finals, semifinals and main final with the winners to be crowned by 8.30pm tonight NZ time.
