Hill dominated the course and has taken the leaders jersey

Australian Sam Hill got the monkey off his back after finally winning his first World Cup of the season at the 6th race in the series in Canada on the famous Mt Sainte Anne track which his had a World Cup race for the last 18 years.

The win gives Hill the lead in the overall series by just 4 points from Steve Peat who had another strong day finishing both qualifying and race run in second. The 2 riders both leap frogged Greg Minnaar, who had a mare of a day flatting in qualifying and then crashing in his race run.

American Aaron Gwin had the best result in his short career finishing 3rd in only his second season racing. Mt Sainte Anne must be a favourite for Gwin as this was the track where he had his first ever WC race last year and finished an amazing 10th here in 2008. Gee Atherton stayed consistent with 4th and the top 5 was rounded out by Fabien Barel.

Justin Leov was the fastest Kiwi coming in 10th followed by Sam Blenkinsop, who almost hit a Gondola off one of the jumps, 16th. Cam Cole had a fairly good day taking the Hot Seat (which wasnt really a seat - it was the tray of a pick up and Shaun Palmer who made a guest appearance in the commentary box didnt think much of it - bring back the bling to the hot seat - they need some hot seat chicks and it should be catered). Cole eventually finished 25th.

Nathan Rankin almost took the Hot seat earlier in the day but crossed the line 2nd at that time and at the end of the day was 46th, 2 spots ahead of Wyn Masters. Junior riders Aari Barrett and George Brannigan were 63rd and 67th.

In the Womens, Sabrinna Jonnier looks to be unstoppable taking her 5th win in a row. Emmeline Ragot showed great form to come 2nd followed by Tracy Moseley in 3rd. Gabby Molloy made the cut and came 20th.
