It was another good day overall for the Kiwi Boys on years toughest track.
Not only was the race on the hardest track of the circuit, the conditions were also against riders with rain affecting the race. It was a real bogfest with plenty of carnage. There were some outstanding rides from a number of riders including Brook MacDonald who tamed the course and just missed the podium by 1 spot. The result gave MacDonald a heap of points which puts him just outside the top 20 which would give him automatic qualification. Blenky was last man down the mountain after seeding fastest but couldnt match the times of Minnaar and Atherton who are pushing each other for the title. Blenky finished 4th with Fairclough 3rd and Spagnolo 5th. Matt Scoles was the 3rd highest Kiwi in 38th after qualifying 14th.Wyn Masters could also not match his epic 5th place qualifying and came in 33rd. Came Cole was back in 35th with a crash that resulted in a broken wrist and Justin Leov 44th and George Brannigan 52nd. Joseph Nation rounded out the NZ crew in 75th Emmeline Ragot won the womens from Sabina Jonnier with Nicole Myriam 3rd, Floraine Pugin 4th and Tracy Moseley 5th. Overall Points 1. Minnaar 830 22. MacDonald 211
