Sam Hill made the best possible comeback today winning The World Champs on the Mt Sainte Anne track.
Stevie Smith had a blinder to record his best ever result with a silver and the bronze went to Greg Minnaar who along with Gee Atherton was the favourite to take the race.The top Kiwi boys were Blenky in 9th, Brook MacDomald in 12th (awesome year Brook) and Justin Leov in 14th.
Tracy Moseley took her first Gold smoking the womens field by 7.5 seconds followed by Jonnier and Ragot.
George Brannigan came up just short of a medal finishing 4th. He was in medal contention at the second split and 7 seconds up on eventual 3rd place Lewis Buchanan and less than a second off the first 2 riders final split but must have had a moment as he lost a lot of time on the last part of the track.
Troy Brosnan was 1st followed by Leovs teammate Neko Mullaly.
In the Junior Womens Madeline Taylor was 3rd at the last split and heading for a medal and like Brannigan must have made a mistake on the last section to eventually finish last after a promising run for the majority of the track. Sarah Atkin and Charlotte Clouston were 5th and 6th.
